2023The year begins with a forward-looking investment: hansen acquires Laserworks by allinn B.V. from Amersfoort (NL) as part of an asset deal.
With this acquisition, we expand our flat-lighting division to include illuminated keder frame systems for tensioned fabric solutions. While we previously supplied individual components for tensioned frame systems, we now offer complete systems from a single source – exactly what the market is currently demanding.
The existing Dutch customer base has been transferred and is already highly satisfied with both product quality and delivery performance from the outset. Our customers in Germany also benefit from this expanded portfolio.
The new product line is named Meisterkeder and will be one of the highlights of the year.

2022Sustainability is our highest priority this year. In terms of environmental and social responsibility, we are already well positioned and continue to develop further.
A key pillar of this is our 240 kWp photovoltaic system, through which we generate around one third of our electricity demand from renewable sources. This is complemented by a regional district heating solution that is local, sustainable, and economically efficient at the same time.
We also consistently focus on the future in mobility: we support electric vehicle leasing for employees – currently, 18 electric vehicles are in use. Five charging stations are available for both employees and customers.
For those who prefer cycling, we offer JobRad leasing. There are now 39 bikes in use – enabling CO₂-free, healthy, and flexible mobility in everyday life.

2020With the renovation of our administration building in 2020, we made the transformation of the company visible in its physical environment as well. The seven offices were completely modernized in close collaboration with planners and interior designers – including lighting control, ventilation, and sound insulation.
Ergonomic workstations and biologically effective lighting now create a modern and healthy working environment across all areas – from offices to adjacent spaces. A particular highlight is the employee wall in the reception area, serving as a visible sign of appreciation.

1984At the age of 27, Hans-Thomas Hansen founded the company “Neontechnik Hansen” together with his wife and another employee. After completing an apprenticeship as a telecommunications technician, a degree in electrical engineering (Dipl.-Ing. Electrical Power Engineering) at the University of Applied Sciences in Flensburg, and several years of professional experience in Berlin, he took the step into self-employment.
The first production facilities were established at Süderstraße 1 in Viöl – several garages and a former timber storage building formed the starting point for future manufacturing.
