The project:
The client is the city of Neubrandenburg in the beautiful district of Mecklenburgische Seenplatte. The technical façade planning was in the hands of an architectural firm from Rostock: MHB ARCHITEKTEN + INGENIEURE GmbH. Concepts for the energetic refurbishment as well as for the new outward effect were developed.
To counteract the monotony of the ostalgic-looking high-rise building, colour came into play and lighting elements for the windows on the west side were planned, not across the entire front, but in segments.
Solutions for the lighting were sought together with HANSELICHT from Lüneburg. A product was quickly found: the HANSEN mini profile type 940 with white LEDs in 3000 Kelvin was sampled and found to be good.
A controller for intelligent dimming was also planned. This means that the light can be dynamically controlled at any time later to create certain lighting moods, and energy costs can also be reduced. This convinced everyone involved in the planning and the HANSEN products were included in the tender for the building project.
